Soil testing is the essential first step in any construction project involving earthwork, foundations, or road building. The physical and engineering properties of the soil at a project site determine everything — from the depth and type of foundation needed for a building to the pavement thickness required for a highway. Without accurate soil characterisation, engineers are designing in the dark, risking structural failure, excessive settlement, or costly over-design.

NKMPV offers 12 geotechnical tests covering the complete range of soil properties mandated by IS 2720 and related Indian Standards. Our most-requested tests include California Bearing Ratio (CBR) for road subgrade evaluation, Maximum Dry Density and OMC (Proctor) for compaction control, grain size analysis for soil classification, and Plate Load Test for in-situ bearing capacity. We also perform Atterberg Limits, specific gravity, and field density tests by both core cutter and sand replacement methods.

Our field technicians collect soil samples directly from project sites across 10 states including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, and more, ensuring representative specimens are tested. Every report includes detailed test data, graphs where applicable, and IS code references — giving your geotechnical engineer everything needed for foundation and pavement design.
