Project Overview
A Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) investigation was carried out at Zirakpur for pavement structural assessment and design purposes. The test collects real-time pavement response data by simulating the dynamic loading of a moving vehicle axle. The deflection measurements obtained at various offsets from the load point allow computation of effective pavement layer moduli and assessment of structural adequacy. This data directly informs the pavement design process, enabling engineers to design stronger and more durable road structures tailored to actual site conditions.
