Project Overview
Falling Weight Deflectometer (FWD) testing was carried out on the Samnal Baliwal Road to assess the structural capacity and load-bearing performance of the existing pavement. The FWD device applies a controlled impulse load to the pavement surface and measures the resulting deflection basin using a series of geophones. The deflection data is being used for detailed pavement structural analysis using back-calculation techniques to determine in-situ layer moduli, and to calculate the required overlay thickness for improved road performance and extended service life.
