Project Overview
Core Cutter Tests were conducted at multiple locations along the road project site to determine the in-situ dry density of the compacted soil layers. The test measures the bulk density and moisture content of the subgrade and sub-base layers directly in the field, enabling calculation of the degree of compaction. Results were compared against the Maximum Dry Density (MDD) obtained from Proctor compaction tests to confirm that field compaction meets the MoRTH/IRC specification requirements for pavement construction.
