Our Construction Material Testing Services
NKMPV Provides Construction Material Testing services to ensure the quality, strength, and safety of building and infrastructure projects. We conduct standard tests for building and construction materials to identify defects, cracks, and performance issues while keeping structures safe for continued use. These services are cost-effective, time-saving, and suitable for both new and existing structures, fully compliant with relevant IS and BIS standards.
Aggregates such as sand, gravel, and crushed stone constitute nearly 60–75% of concrete volume and directly affect strength, durability, and workability. We perform gradation analysis to determine particle size distribution, ensuring proper mix design, optimal cement usage, and long-term performance.
Bitumen acts as the binder in asphalt pavements. Our testing evaluates viscosity, penetration value, and temperature sensitivity to ensure pavement durability, flexibility, and resistance to deformation under traffic loads.
Paver blocks are tested for compressive strength, density, flexural strength, and tensile strength. All testing follows applicable BIS standards to ensure durability under load, abrasion resistance, and long service life.
Brick testing includes dimensional checks, compressive strength, water absorption, and uniformity. These tests ensure compliance with IS norms and confirm suitability for load-bearing and non-load-bearing masonry.
Ordinary Portland Cement and Portland Pozzolana Cement are tested for fineness, setting time, soundness, and compressive strength of mortar cubes. Testing is carried out as per IS 4031 and relevant IS codes to ensure consistent performance.
Concrete cube tests and core tests assess compressive strength and structural integrity. Cube testing is typically performed at 7 and 28 days, while core testing evaluates in-situ concrete strength in existing structures.
Cement Treated Base (CTB) and Cement Treated Sub-Base (CTSB) mix design ensures optimal cement content, strength, and durability for pavement base layers used in road construction.
FDR reuses existing pavement materials by stabilizing them with cement and water. Mix design testing determines cement dosage and strength requirements for a stable, durable base layer.
We provide mix design testing for:
- Bituminous Macadam (BM)
- Dense Bituminous Macadam (DBM)
- Bituminous Concrete (BC)
- Stone Matrix Asphalt (SMA)
Testing ensures correct binder content, aggregate gradation, air voids, and compaction for long-lasting pavement performance.
Reinforcement bars and structural steel are tested for tensile strength, yield strength, elongation, and bending properties. All testing is conducted as per IS 1786 and IS 2062 to ensure structural reliability.
Core cutting is a semi-destructive testing method used to assess pavement thickness, density, compaction, and material strength. It supports condition assessment, rehabilitation planning, and quality verification.
Granular Sub-Base (GSB) and Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) form the foundation of flexible pavements. Mix designs determine aggregate proportions and moisture content to achieve required strength and compaction.
