Industry Vertical — Warehouse / Industrial
Warehouse & Industrial Flooring Testing
NABL-accredited concrete and flooring testing for 3PL warehouses, factory floors, automotive plant slabs, and racking-system base concrete. ACI 360R / IS 8042 / IS 4001 acceptance support across NCR, Manesar IMT, HSIIDC industrial estates, and Punjab industrial belt.
Warehouse and industrial flooring failure is rarely a strength problem — it’s usually a flatness, joint-design, or curing problem. When a 3PL warehouse rejects a slab, it’s because forklifts can’t track straight (FF/FL out of spec) or racking-base plates can’t bolt flush. When an automotive plant rejects a slab, it’s because the heavy-load capacity can’t support a 50-tonne forklift loaded with stamping dies. These are use-case acceptance failures, not strength failures.
NKMPV operates dedicated industrial-flooring testing workflows against the actual specifications builders need to meet: ACI 360R (industrial floor design), IS 8042 (industrial flooring), IS 4001 (epoxy / PU floor finish), and the TR-34 specification commonly referenced for FF/FL flatness in 3PL tender briefs. Our tests address the racking-base flatness, joint differential settlement, abrasion resistance, and surface hardness criteria that determine whether the slab passes commissioning.
Test Suites
Warehouse / Industrial Floor Test Workflow
From sub-base CBR to as-built load-rating verification — tests required at each construction stage of an industrial floor.
Subgrade CBR Testing
CBR per IS 2720 Pt 16 for warehouse sub-base design. Inadequate CBR = differential settlement = racking-base plate misalignment. Required input for ACI 360R slab thickness design.
View test details → Soil — CompactionSub-base Compaction (DD-CC / DD-SR)
Dry density via core cutter method (IS 2720 Pt 29) and sand replacement (IS 2720 Pt 28) for warehouse sub-base layer compaction verification. Acceptance: 95-98% MDD.
View test details → Concrete — StrengthCube & Core Compressive Strength
IS 516 cube testing (M30-M50 typical) and core extraction per IS 1199 / IS 516. Heavy-load slabs (automotive, racking) typically need M40+ with documented acceptance.
View test details → NDT — ConcreteIn-Situ Rebound Hammer
Rebound hammer per IS 13311 Pt 2 for in-situ floor strength assessment, particularly when cube samples were missed or strength is challenged after pour. Quick non-destructive verification.
View test details → NDT — ConcreteUPV for Slab Uniformity
Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity per IS 13311 Pt 1 for slab uniformity. Critical for racking-zone slabs where load concentration over base plates demands void-free concrete.
View test details → AggregateAggregate Testing for High-Strength Mix
Aggregate per IS 2386 — sieve analysis, crushing value, impact value, abrasion (Los Angeles), water absorption, alkali-silica reactivity. Critical for M40+ industrial floor mix design.
View test details → CementCement OPC / PPC Testing
Cement testing per IS 4031 / IS 8112 (OPC 43) / IS 12269 (OPC 53) / IS 1489 (PPC). Pre-supply verification before bulk pour ordering for warehouse / industrial floor projects.
View test details → SteelSteel Reinforcement & Welded Mesh Testing
Tensile, bend, rebend testing per IS 1786 for reinforcement, welded wire mesh per IS 4948, and structural steel per IS 2062 for warehouse roofing structures and racking-system supports.

Industrial Floor Acceptance Standards
Industrial floors are tested against multiple acceptance criteria that vary by use case. NKMPV reports specifically address these:
- Compressive strength: IS 456 batch acceptance criteria (Cl. 16) — M40 typical for racking warehouses, M50 for automotive heavy-load zones
- Surface flatness (FF/FL): TR-34 / ACI 117 ranges — FF35-FF60 for racking aisles, FF50+ for very-narrow-aisle (VNA) operation
- Abrasion resistance: IS 1237 (cement concrete tile) / IS 9016 reference for high-traffic zones
- Joint design: Differential settlement < 2 mm at saw-cut joints under design load
- Curing compliance: 7-day continuous curing record per IS 456 for high-strength pours
- Surface hardness: Schmidt hammer rebound number 30+ for industrial use (IS 13311 Pt 2)
